At the Melbourne Cups
Luncheon the Auxiliary catered for 200 people and
Cliffs surprised us with another donation.

Each year we have a
fundraising celebration, for May Day which is 15th
May and we remember the time when Qantas supplied
the first aircraft De Havilland, called Victory
which departed Cloncurry in Queensland for Julia
Creek where the plane was met by 100 people at the

In Esperance when
selling raffle tickets we have observed that every
second person, young and old are only too happy
donate because they have been touched in some way
whether some-one in their
family or they know of
someone or indeed they themselves have used the

when we conducted our last big raffle, proceeds were
$10,000-00 of which $4,000-00 were donations.
The State Government
has been very supportive of the RFDS as has the
Corporate sector in WA and in Esperance Cliffs
Natural Recourses, however it’s the fundraising
efforts of individuals, communities and groups that
help to keep the Doctor flying. Particular mention
is that the town of Esperance is most generous from
Business Houses to the private sector.
